(upbeat music) - I had no idea you could work in sports. And I had already changed my major like twice like, since my sophomore year of what I wanna do, I had no clue. And the second she said sports marketing, I was like, oh my gosh, like, that's what I wanna do.
I didn't know you could work in sports. And so I went in a meeting with her and instantly just got like the bug. I was like, I don't know what this is, I don't know if marketing's my call, but I just want to be at arenas, I wanna be at the field. I was like, this is the world I wanna be a part of.
- I decided to seek employment to make some money in order to apply for medical school. And that was when a coworker of mine, as a tour guide, introduced me to Teach for America. And so I signed up for Teach for America with the intention of doing two years and then leaving the classroom.
And then I started, and day one I was like, oh, I actually really enjoy being in a classroom. And every day, the more I was in the classroom, the more I realized how much I actually, really enjoyed this, and I've been here since.
- Actually didn't end up going to college. I went to a semester at community college, realized it's not for me. And I had already bought my first real estate property. And the way that that actually came about is I met a mentor when I was 19 and started playing a board game.
And basically it taught me assets, expenses, liabilities, and an income. And essentially, the point of the game was to buy as much real estate as you can and have it double, triple. And, you know, that was the first opportunity that I saw that you can make money without going to a job.
