Terms of service

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Puzzicle Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us"), which runs Puzzicle. By creating an account or using Puzzicle you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and they are responsible for your use of Puzzicle.

1. What Puzzicle is

Puzzicle organises free educational videos from Khan Academy into classes, timetables and small study groups ("batches"), and adds questions and notes timed to the videos. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Khan Academy.

2. Accounts

  • Children under 13 can only use Puzzicle through an account set up or approved by a parent or guardian.
  • Give accurate information and keep your login details private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • Parents can view, change or delete their children's accounts at any time.

3. Batches and behaviour

Batches are small groups of up to 12 learners. Everyone must be kind and respectful. You must not:

  • share anything unkind, unsafe, unlawful, sexual or hateful, or anything that isn't yours to share;
  • share personal contact details, or ask others for theirs;
  • impersonate anyone, or share an invite code publicly;
  • try to break, scrape, overload or get around the security of Puzzicle.

We may move a learner to another batch, or suspend or close an account, to keep learners safe. See our safeguarding policy.

4. Content and licences

Videos, subtitles and course structures come from Khan Academy and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA). The questions, notes, timetables and software we create are ours. You may use them for your own or your family's learning, but not copy or resell them. See content and licences.

5. Cost

Puzzicle is free during our founding period. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will tell you clearly beforehand and you will never be charged without agreeing first.

6. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Puzzicle running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and live parties may sometimes be disrupted. We may change or stop features, and we'll give reasonable notice of significant changes. We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we'll let account holders know.

7. Educational content

We check our questions carefully, but mistakes can happen. Puzzicle supports learning and is not a substitute for professional advice, or for any qualification or exam board's requirements. Tell us about any errors at hello@puzzicle.org.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Our total liability is limited to £100. You keep all your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Puzzicle and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore. If you live in the UK, the EU or another country whose consumer laws give you the right to bring claims locally, nothing in these terms takes that right away.
