Puzzicle doesn't charge students, families, teachers or schools, and takes no cut of anything. We run on donations.

Our ethos

Puzzicle exists to help students learn, and to enjoy learning with other people. Khan Academy has made world-class lessons free for everyone. We add what many children are missing: a timetable, a small batch of classmates to learn alongside, and check-ins that keep everyone thinking together. Learning is social, and it should be.

That's why everything here is free: the school, the study parties, the library, the check-ins, and the tools teachers and schools use. Students can also start their own free study group with friends, with or without a teacher.

How we're funded

Puzzicle is non-commercial. We don't sell data, show adverts or charge fees. Our costs (servers, development and safeguarding) are covered by donations. If Puzzicle helps your family or your students, please consider giving.

Rules for schools, tutors and groups

The videos and lessons come from Khan Academy and are shared under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike licence and Khan Academy's Terms of Use. In short:

  • Non-commercial use only. Use of the content must be non-commercial. Don't sell access to the videos or lessons, put them behind a paywall, or use them to make money from the content itself.
  • Teachers and tutors may charge for their own time, such as live teaching, marking or support, but not for the content. Don't charge more than you normally would for the same teaching without Puzzicle.
  • Keep the credit. Keep Khan Academy's attribution, don't suggest Khan Academy endorses you, and share anything you adapt under the same licence.
  • Follow Khan Academy's Terms of Use.
